The Oakridge School is excited to announce that Zachary Burdette of St. Mark’s School will be presenting his paper, “An Encounter with Reality,” at the 2013 Dubliners Colloquium this February 6th. Congratulations Mr. Burdette; we are looking forward to hearing your presentation!
Zachary Burdette is a twelve year marksman at St. Mark’s. He dedicates the majority of his free time to competing in policy debate, and has been among the top teams nationally for two consecutive years. Zach is on the St. Mark’s Leadership and Ethics Board, co-founder of the Political Forum Club, and an Eagle Scout. He plans to major in international relations and security studies at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service.
Mr. Burdette will be reading his paper during the second block of presentations in a session entitled “Truth, Narrative, and the Masking of the Real in Joyce’s Dubliners.” The location of the session will be announced soon.
